The new Magic Lantern firmware update for the Canon 5DMk2 from AJ Newman

Development of the AJ series of Magic Lantern software has continued and is now up to version 5.9 which runs only on the latest Canon firmware 2.0.9. As a result, we have removed the download links for AJ5.0 and Canon 2.0.4 and replace them with the current versions.

The files are supplied completely without warranty and is therefore downloaded and used at your own risk. Clicking the download button signifies your acceptance of these terms. However, it is the firmware that I am currently using in my 5Dmk2.

You can also download the latest version of Magic Lantern by AJ Newman here. Please note that this is still alpha firmware and therefore might damage your camera. There is no warranty and again you use it entirely at your own risk. Clicking on the download button signifies your acceptance of these terms. Once again, this is the firmware upgrade that I am using on my 5Dmk2 and as yet it has not bricked the camera.

If you are using an external monitor there are still a few bugs not yet resolved so while it is usable, errors do occur and removal and replacement of the battery is required to continue operating.

Development and testing are still continuing and I recommend that anyone interested in using Magic Lantern now joins the Google Group. This page will be updated from time to time as updates become available after testing so bookmark this page and come back from time to time.
